About Scouting
A rich learning environment where simplicity, creativity and discovery come together to provide adventure and challenge!
Scouting aims to encourage boys/girls’ social, physical, mental and spiritual development so that they can play a constructive role in the community.
In order to do this, scouting makes use of the Scout Promise and Law as a simple code of living.
The Patrol System (small groups of scouts called Patrols) is used in order to ensure individual attention to all within the group.
It is here that scouters learn leadership, group skills and individual responsibility. Scouting is about learning and doing important skills, such as pioneering, camping, hiking, service to the community and nature.
Scouting is nondenominational, accepts people of all religions, and encourages scouters to explore their own beliefs that will become a moral compass into their adulthood.
