We arrived at hartbeesport dam at 22nd Sea Scout base around 12pm. The tents where set up already so we made our selfs a home in those tents. We started to explore around the camp and looked at the dam we ate some lunch we talked a bit and in a flash we went to bed.

We woke up to a whistle and Poseidon saying “wake up 5 minutes”. The morning is the worst time of day, that’s when we do PT – AKA (physical torture). Once we finished PT we went back and ate breakfast then we got prepared to go hike a mountain. I swear we hiked 5 mountains but once we got to the finish point the top the view was amazing. We started to go back down and got lost we found a little spot where we could swim so we did we got back the base and chilled ate some dinner and went to sleep.

The next day, we were woken up by Gavin saying “wake up let’s go do PT”. I love when Gavin wakes us up it’s better than a whistle. We did pt and came back to have breakfast, after that we went into the dam and enjoyed some time on the gig and the various other boats. We had lunch, worked on some advancemenets, and went back to the dam. The water was nice, not too hot or too cold, just right. Once we finished and night started to fall upon us we ate some dinner played some board games and we went onto the dock and star gazed. We saw the international space station which was such a cool experience.

The next 2 days consisted of more games, advancement & badge work, and more fun on the water. We enjoyed each other’s company, made jokes & new memories. It was really nice to go on this camp and I would love to go again.
